The fotocommunity is an Internet community with around 1.5 million photography enthusiasts. On www.fotocommunity.de, the largest platform for photography in Europe, amateurs, pros and artists meet.

In addition to 15 million photos and 1.5 million photographers, this fotocommunity offers you the chance to further develop yourself photgraphically through lively exchange with like-minded people; participate in user gatherings and photo contests; discuss topics in our many forums; offer selected photos for sale; learn how to photograph better at our photography school; browse through the marketplace; offer one’s photos for sale; and as a photographer, to make contact with and book models.

Yes. All essential functions are already available to you with a free membership. If you would like to make use of additional functions and benefits (such as access to our nude section, for instance), a basic membership is sufficient, which you can have for as little as 4 euro per month. An overview of the options with a free membership, as well as the prices and benefits of our Premium membership, can be found on the “Membership” page.

In order to become a member you have to complete a free registration, which is easy using the registration form at: www.fotocommunity.de/registrieren. As soon as you have entered your information, such as username, e-mail address, and password, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. Once you activate this e-mail, you are a member of the fotocommunity. You can then use fotocommunity free of charge, and you are a Free Member of the community. As a free member, you have access to our wide range of offerings. However, some functions are reserved for our Premium users only.

On our membership page, you can upgrade your free membership to a basic, pro, world, or complete membership with expanded functions and services. There, you can also see which membership you currently have.

With us, you can conveniently pay using direct withdrawal, credit card, PayPal, or via transfer. You’ll find more information on “Payment methods” here

The trial membership is our gift to you. When you register with the photo community, you receive a free trial of our “World” membership for 14 days. The trial period begins automatically once you have successfully registered – and after 14 days, it ends automatically, too. A separate activation of your membership is therefore not required. Neither is a cancellation. After your trial membership expires, your account is automatically converted into a free membership at no cost to you. Learn more here.

In the fotocommunity, there are different ways of initiating contact with other members. By FotoMail (sending a photo from fotocommunity along with a message), QuickMessage (a pop-up message as a direct method of contact), or as a private message (= external e-mail to the member’s on-file e-mail address). Just like all other users, you first register with fotocommunity. After registration, you draw up a sed card for yourself that will appear in fotocommunity’s model database. The photographers of fotocommunity now have the opportunity to search this database for the model that suits their purposes. As a model on fotocommunity, you must be at least 18 years old. In addition to the general areas, there are additional, special sections in which you can introduce yourself to the photographers as a model. Please note that fotocommunity does not actively mediate between photographer and model – a little self-initiative is therefore required. In the model forum, you can exchange ideas and experiences with others. You also come in contact with photographers at user gatherings

If you are already a member of the fotocommunity, you can participate in the contest by entering a theme-specific photo into the contest. Each contest is different: Requirements and duration can be gotten from the respective conditions for participation. More about the photography contests.
